Frankly, my personal e-mail client dates back to 1995 (eudora lite 1.5). And it serves me just fine. I receive virii and other malware on a weekly basis and not a single one of them has ever touched my machine. They get downloaded as attachments to a folder and then are annihilated. When some idiot sends me a 4 sentence message with 200 HTML codes and some artistic background, I get the source code on my screen and I just delete the message.
