My recent netiquette replies were a rare exception, with only a few quoted sentences in excess, anyway. Some individuals who post to Pacifica lists routinely complain when their original is snipped in a reply, implying that the respondent is deviously hiding something or mischaracterizing what they wrote. I wanted to avoid embarrassing the maker of any such complaint this time with an additional space-wasting response, as the trim recommendation was already there within the message and in the referenced external links.
