At coffee with friends yesterday, someone accused the Palestinians of being fundamentalists. This is not my opinion of people like Hannan Asawar or Edward Said, or even Arafat, who was married to a Christian. I said Palestine was not a fundamentalist country, and has many Christians. A friend of mine lived in Lebanon for years, and it is the ancestral home of the Naders, as in Ralph and Laura. One could, of course, call the US fundamentalist, since we have a lot of them. But Lebanon and Palestine seem pretty sophistocated to me. Would like to hear your view. Avis ------------------------ Yahoo!
