It will be the Democrats that will push for this legislation with full mainstream media spin/support from the President and 'respected' military such as Colin Powell. Read that piece of shit, Charles Rangel's HR4752 (at thomas.gov). The text of the bill is short and sweet: mandatory military & "civilain" duty for all age 18-42. Civilian service in Dept of Homeland Security is actually part of the proposal. Brain dead progressives will parrot Noam Chomsky's inane political logic that a draft will help our movement since it will be a "citizen army". This is utter crap. Any progressive or liberal that argues along with Chomsky is a fucking moron. We must soundly discredit and attack any effort from any quarter that starts making sounds to promote a mandatory service. THAT INCLUDES OBAMA and will be a platform issue of both party's nominees toward the general election. If there is any chance of stopping this madness, such calls for a military & civilian draft MUST BE PREVENTED PRE-EMPTIVELY, NOT after the fact. Once a mandatory draft is passed in Congress there will not be a way to reverse this policy...and the nightmare will expand, with unlimited military operations expanded and forced conscription in the states. We must beat the Democrats to the spin table and pre-emptively discredit the coming call for a mandatory military & civilian draft. If "the movement" fails to accomplish this the future of this country and the world is most probably a forgone conclusion. The military recruitment and resistance movement must take on this issue and fast before the nitwits in "the movement" start quoting Chomsky again.
