[(RE: Winter Soldier)] What a bunch of IDIOTS (Or worse?) Friday: Here we are listening to WBAI (or kpfa) to probably the best or at least the most important thing they've had in what, years. Just amazing. Eye opening. Intelligent. Politically unbiased, just plain facts, soldiers relating their persional experiences in Iraq and Afghanistan. An incredible public service. ----- Saturday: I turn on the radio. At 10am, at I assume when the meeting starts, it's standard wbai Saturday programming. WHAT? Standard Saturday programming? WHERE'S WINTER SOLDIER?! What IDIOT (or worse) is in charge down there (wbai)? (Or at least who controls what's on the air on this weekend? Unbelievable! No wonder listenership is down the drain! ---- So I go to wbai.org, to see what part of it they ARE going to play? | (What's this. They've changed the site! Yeah, it's pretty, | it's "professional", and all that -- BUT WHERE'S ALL THE INFORMATION! | | WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON DOWN THERE! It's one thing after | another, it seems. And what ever happened to Walden's Pond, | that Sunday program that had those really great (intelligent | too) interviews? | | (And what ever happened to X, Y, Z, A, and B too?) | ). Anyway, I look for "winter soldier". NOTHING. Not even a "Sorry, but we were ordered by Pacifica (or the police-dept, or homeland security, or B.W., or ...) to NOT play it -- or whatever. So I go to that site they mentioned yesterday, www.warcomeshome.org, apparently the home page for the winter soldier production. Basically no info about the radio avability of it. They do have a link to, I forget, was it "schedule", I don't know. Anyway, I click on it, and presto, what comes up? KPFA! Ok, great, they'll tell me when and what they're playing of it. (I assume its 100%) As far as I, with my 65-year-old eyes can tell, NO MENTION OF "WINTER SOLDIER"! What, idiots (or worse) EVERYWHERE? Anyway, that's (chapter x of) "Combs' Complaint". ----- Comments? David
