Well, for what it's worth, here's how I responded on "the bleepin' blueboard": ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ http://www.listenerforums.net/cgi-bin/issues_config.pl?noframes;read=80645 Radio Listeners' Forum - WBAI Issues PNB was not the last to know, but... Posted By: Frank LeFever Date: Tuesday, 4 March 2008, at 9:53 p.m. In Response To: good news *LINK* (Brian) ...it certainly was not the first to know. PNB directors got an official announcement significantly later than it was posted here. I hope this means that a firm agreement has been reached as to whom Lonnie Hicks reports: as CFO he should be accountable to the ED, and besides performing his mandated task of regular reports to the PNB he needs to be VERY prompt and compliant when the ED asks him for ANY fiscal information. Hicks and Siegel have been contending over separate relationships to the PNB, with Hicks asserting or at least de facto maintaining that his accountability is only to the PNB. Both of them, of course, consider their own accountability to the PNB to be a token accountability, to be ignored or abrogated whenever compliance would be "inconvenient". See, for example, Siegel's blocking of directors' inspection of WBAI books a couple of weeks ago; and, for that matter, the whole way "Pacifica" has been stonewalling rather than settling the LSB-election lawsuit. --Frank LeFever ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ ================================================= --- In NewPacifica@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Synthetic Sound <syntheticsound@...> wrote: > > I wonder about that Jonathan, > > Who was holding the cards in that negotiation......from all outward > appearances it would seem that it was Nicole and I wonder if the real > deal is that Nicole might have agreed not to screw with Lonnie and got a > bonus or maybe Pacifica buckled under and accepted that Nicole would > indeed be involved in the finances. > > That is where the real cover-up action is going on, right behind the > CFOs desk, Adelson seems to have bailed.
