Ben Affleck cajoled ABC News into tagging along on his trips to the Congo -- their first reports from that country since 2001, if I'm not mistaken. Ah, celebrities... where would we be without them? <exasperated sigh> I mean, every US media consultant worth his salt just *knows* that all those tv sets will click off as soon as viewers hear there's a report coming on about some un-glamorous *furrin country* -- unless, of course, there's a big-name Hollywood celeb there to glamorize things for them. I just hope Mr. Affleck doesn't pull a Mia Farrow and call for US troops to be sent in to "take care of things"...
