Well, if KEVIN "knew anything", he'd know better than to take everything he sees on the http://WBAI.org website too seriously. As for what Kathy actually does, it's my impression is (especially at critical moments) she does much of what the Program Director should be doing. That's in addition to her specified job. Indeed, some of us have suggested that the PD slot should be eliminated and the PD's work be done by a consortium of Dept. heads. If nothing else, this might ensure that the work WOULD be done; currently, one cannot count on that. --Frank LeFever ================================== --- In NewPacifica@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Kevin White <cuitlacoche1@...> wrote: > > From the WBAI Website: > > > Programming > Staff > Program Director: Bernard White > Public Affairs > Director: Kathy Davis > Arts Director: Janet Coleman > Producer, Wakeup Call: Sharan Harper > Host/Producer, Wakeup Call (Mon.-Thurs.): Deepa > Fernandes > Host/Producer, Wakeup Call (Fri.): Mario Murillo > Host/Producer, TalkBack: Hugh Hamilton > Host/Producer, TalkBack (Fri.): Earl Caldwell > It says "Arts Director" instead of "Artistic Director." What does an "arts director" do in a failing business? Do you think this might just be a little bit of fat? They also have a Director of the Public Affairs Department. I don't know where you get the idea that these are non-positions, but I don't think it's helpful for you to say such a thing on a national list without knowing what you're talking about. > > wendy > > > On Thu, Jun 12, 2008 at 4:14 PM, Kevin White <cuitlacoche1@...> wrote: > > "I hope Kevin was wanting to eliminate the positions, not the employees?
