re: voices of mid-east, i know Khalil Bendib, one of the co-hosts pretty well... very good person, excellent artist, and political cartoonist... he did a good job taking on Michael Parenti re: the cartoon controversy on Larry Bensky's show... not afraid of his Muslim identity etc. and has very good overall politics. however, see --- voices of mid-east is still primarily secular --- now, there is nothing wrong with having secular voices represented ... but there are some facts here that have to be considered... that a huge portion, if not vast majority, of the "poor" and working class communities of these regions are not ideologically "secular" ... as such, those voices end up being marginalized... it is fine and well to have reps. from the secular opposition from Egypt ... but when the brotherhood wins such a large % of seats that they were running for... then really, we need to hear from them directly.
