[NewPacifica] Re: [Fulcrumsofchange] [PacificaRadiowaves] Re: Fw: [WBAI-LSB-PUBLIC] Executive session, July 23

Kevin and Melinda don't read my messages, because I'm "not nice"
and "get personal", but some of the other readers (if anyone
reads what Kevin and Melinda chat about) might want to see how
widely their fantasies of The Big City and the Crazy WBAI LSB
vary from the actual circumstances. Here is what I said before:

Re: Executive Sessions for everything -- and Location Needed
for the Secret Session

There is at least one and possibly two people I know of who
will probably be identified by name in this closed session,
and be described as disruptive and (in one case, especially,
a really really BIG guy) potentially violent.

[I was eye-ball to eye-ball with him at the last LSB meeting
and helped "ease him out" at the prior meeting.]

It would be wrong to describe them this way publicly, and
moreover risky to do so for legal reasons.

And now, to make something else explicit, the people in
question (whose rights of privacy would be violated if
the LSB discussed them in public session) are not members
of the LSB, nor staff members: they are members of "the
public" who regularly show up and hold the entire meeting
hostage to their diatribes and perambulations for as long
as it takes for several of us to persuade them to leave.

There is at least one LSB member who has been known to
bring a "concealed" weapon (pistol visible only when his
jacket is opened just right), but he is not the target of
this executive session. There is a former LSB member
(defeated in her bid for re-election) who had been banned
from the station for physical assault on more than one
fellow-delegate, but she is not the target of this closed
session. There is at least one staff member who has been
involved in "fisticuffs" in the station, but he is not the
target.

The session is to be closed to prevent charges of slander
which might be the response of one or more members of "the public"
to their being discussed frankly in open session.
