I do not think Fred is posting this just to provoke a meaningless series of tit-for-tat trivial and disruptive space-consuming exchanges. I think what he says can and should be disputed, not simply "dismissed". There are many at WBAI who share his stated opinion on these several issues, with varying degrees of knowledge or sincerity. I think it is dangerous to our aim of informing the (potential) electorate if we do not use his posts as opportunities to present well-reasoned and well-documented counter arguments. It may not seem so from the depths of the trenches, but "on the fence" listeners are probably in the majority. If not on the fence on the overall configuration, on the fence about enough of these "details" to make them less likely to vote (much less actively promote our good-governance cause) if we do not refute rather than dismiss Fred's assertions, no matter how wild or trollish we may perceive them. Your response can be cited to support accusations that JUC opponents are not truly interested in dialogue and democracy but seek to censor and to control. Please re-think this tactic. It works against an over-all strategy. --Frank ===================================================== --- In NewPacifica@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx, Carolyn Birden <cmcb007@xxxx> wrote: > > >I think Marquez is correct.
