The main arugments and objections I have of CPB
funding is the potential of an attempt to control the
content of Pacifica programming. The growing
dependence on CPB funds and the need to comply with
many of its regulations and requirements was a major
factor in what led up to the former Pacifica problems
and now, with the neo-cons in control of the FCC and
CPC, the danger of that repeating itself, or even an
attempt to force Pacifica to the right, is still in
the realm of possibility as long as Pacifica depends
on those funds.
