I agree. I long for the days when Pacifica did open dialog with all points of view. Remember, Casper Weinberger once had a show on KPFA. KPFT did a "Conservative Show" once with a local character known as "Lord Locksley. (Robin Hood?)
It's a healthy thing to do in this time of media sound bites to actually discuss our differences and let our intelligent audience make up its own mind.

Statements like the below are goading me to say goodbye to the left in this country the same way my Socialist grandfather did in the 1940s when he judged them to be too crazy and doctrinaire. The outrageous recent attack in San Francisco on Rep. Nancy Pelosi convince me that rigid, idealogical and crazy leftists would become Stalinist totalitarians if they ever gained power. Fortunately they are unlikely to, but they may contribute to their mirror-image neocon rightists gaining more.
Hitler got in in part because the left half of the spectrum were too busy fighting each other and claiming greater purity, while secretly aiming at greater power.
Furthermore, I believe in DIALOGUE. That's part of democracy, and yes, I believe in that, too. Ours is in trouble due to crazies right and left.

For example, why does Amy Goodman invite rightwing pundits for 'debates' and 'discussions?' Not just a few times, but lately quite regularly. Don't the right-wing propagandists have almost all the other platforms already? A majority of people are thirsting for some truthful explanation of their social environment, they are dying for some new ideas, and sick and tired of the same old mainstream typecasting of reality in stupefied, simplified journalism of 'two sides of the story.' So, why does Amy Goodman mimic the corporate media?
