Loraine,  Wasn't Frank's passing even mentioned on KPFK, 
at least on the news?  I sent that post to the KPFA news dept.
and they ran a whole story at the end of yesterday's broadcast
(including some archival tape they dug up from 1961). It's a
damn shame there's so little institutional memory. I bet KPFK
never mentioned Ellen Stern Harris either, even though she 
was a former programmer -- who would even remember?

Sorry to hear the news. I grew up around Frank as his
son was among our group of friends at the Unitarian
Youth group and the American Friends Service Committee
during my pre-teen and early teen years. I still
remember Frank's defense of a Korean immigrant who was
under deportatin orders during the McCarty era.
