I think that the GM search process that we went through was ultimately fair inspite of the breach(which was a total violation of the rules that we operate under). The KPFT LAB isn't unanimous by any stretch but we work together fairly well inspite of our differences. The real uneasiness comes from some locally who have been essentially unwilling to participate in the organizing efforts and meetings which enabled the merger of the LAB. Unfortunately one of this crew was elected to the ILAB. These are the ones who Edwin says have been waiting in the wings to seize power as they organized garden parties at Valrie Chambers house. Believing that those protest parties and their capacity to shoot their mouths off to intimidate and harrass give them credibility as activists thus bequeathing upon them a fiefdom which they will define out of the rubble of the old KPFT. KPFT is not a fiefdom ! There will not be cronyisim at KPFT ! FSRN will be on the air ! KPFT will have an autonomous local news department! RUN BY HOUSTONIANS! The Pacifica Campaign must lift the boycott and disband itself. The old PNB is gone, there is no longer a part for such a direct action group in this movement.
