Good questions all, Dave. About non-members: I'm agin' 'em. Members as they are defined should vote, period. About ballot counting: I assume wBAI will hire a third party, neutral, to deal with the mailing and counting of ballots, and to actually supervise if not run the election process. Otherwise it will be more contentious than we can bear. About air time for candidates: to be negotiated, but equal time for all is the principle. And the rules will have to deal with NO air time for friends of producers, no endorsements by producers, or else those candidates will be disqualified as candidates, period. This is a big issue - there should be equal access to the air by all. Forums with many/several candidates at once would be okay, but no one should be able to buy or wheedle air time directly or indirectly.
