He is now calling the forty lawsuits "friviolous" and demanding that they be rid of them. He is also trying to use this same propoganda technique to drill home his fear tactics about the develpment of nuclear weapons in Iran. The jerk is trying to rally the citizens to support another war. Now is the time to let your rep know that they must not let the phone companies have immunity and we do not want even the wars we have. It could be that he is doing such a legnthy speech because he knows that Congress isn't obeying him but this is too important to let it slide. We have members running for re-election and the Sendate has already passed this measure. He could be trying to get the switchboads to be lit up by using fear tactics. If anybody is going to be lighting up the switchboards it should be people who KNOW that we don't need to be letting Congress tell our courts that th ey must prevent lawsuits from happening. That is a dangerous precidence to set. There is a reason we have three branches of Congress. The courts are THERE to tell them if a law is wrong. The problem that Bush has is that in these forty lawsuits there could be evidence that could indict HIM or Cheney! Discovery could bring a whole new light into who is doing this and why they have so many lawsuits. Let them have it. I have already called mine call yours with a toll free number.
