Folks,
A black women former slave from VA put up the first dollar for one of the
most important statures in the African American Community, Celebrating the
Emancipation Proclamation Act, located in Washington DC at Lincoln Park.
I spent a lot of good days playing in Lincoln Park as a child and one Sunday,
a few years back my friend and I vested the park after a conversation we had
about the Emancipation Proclamation Act, and it?s meaning.
What we found was white folks letting their dogs run lose and pooping all
over the park especially behind the stature were the most important massage is
located from the African Slave born in America.
That massage said, The Emancipation Proclamation Act, was a US Military
Necessity.
No time since the Civil War has this unique DC Freedom Enterprise in a
Transportation System, created by Africans Born in America been dominated by
any other group other then the African American Community doing a time of war
until now.
But that?s OK, everybody deserves chance at Freedom and Independence, this is
what the DC Hack/Taxicab System has or have to offer the immigrant community.
It?s my understanding the real reason why this take away of Freedom from
Independent DC Hack/Taxicab/Owners and Drivers no matter were you were born is
Homeland Security.
But Homeland Security and the DC Government has found out this is not going
to be an easy task when folks know and understand the history behind this
industry
As a child playing in Lincoln Park, I didn?t know how important the issue of
Freedom and Independence was is until now as a US Military Veteran and a long
time Member of The American Legion, in good standing with over 40 years as an
Independent DC Hacker/Taxicab Owner/Driver.
. For those of us that?s been involved in this struggle to protect our
livelihood over the years know, even if main stream media want report it, the
job action taken by the Independent DC Hackers/Taxicab/Drivers was very, very
Successful in more ways then one.
IF you look, you will find that the US Stock Markets falls most the time when
there?s a job action by DC Hack/Taxicab/Drivers.
This also shows what effect our job action can have The Major Money Markets
in America, that finance those big VA and MD Taxicab Company?s That is plotting
with the DC Government to Steal or take over this industry.
We now know how it?s being done, donations to political campaigns for some DC
City Council Members and also to Mayor Fenty, even before he made his decision
to put time and distance meters in DC Hack/Taxicabs.
Or the other way, just paying off in Super Shuttle stock shares whose
shareholders included VA and MD Taxicab Company?s is the case with Former DC
Mayor, Marion Barry.
Years ago the DC Government would not formulate nor enforce rules on how the
Washington Flyer and Super Shuttle Van Service could be operated within the
city.
Some DC Hack/taxicab/Drivers got tired of being ripped off raped and robbed
and put there life on the line by laying down under the wheel of the Super
Shuttle.
This got the attention of the DC Government on this issue to stop Super
Shuttle and the Washington Flyer Taxicabs from monopolizing all the fares to
and from Dulles Airport.
What the DC Government and City Council did with this issue was a sin and a
shame, we found out that the Super Shuttle with less than a year in business
took out of the city and our pockets over 10 million dollars.
And paid less than 900 dollars in tax to the city, before the DC Government
produced loop holes that brought the company in to compliance and legal with
some rules that?s not enforced or followed to this day.
I hope you all notice that the job action taken 2/4/08 by DC
Hack/Taxicab/Drivers was to protect our livelihood and get a seat at the table
or a compromise on the issues of meters.
The DC Government seem to have no interest in our concern?s and is still
trying to give away our Freedom and Independence to make us slaves to other
taxicab jurisdiction with something called a reciprocity agreement to further
force Independent DC Hack/Taxicab/Drivers/Owners out this business.
DC Government will not enforce its on rule or law on the books to protect us
when hacks and limo?s from other jurisdictions taking our fares.
It seem to me the action of the DC Government is hell bent to make slaves out
of free independent people for major corporation and big taxicab company's in
MD and VA.
So in the spirit of Martin Luther King and an old black song called Oh
Freedom; we feel some form of Non Violent Civil Disobedience is Necessary now.
Because some folks would rather be dead and in there grave rather then live
or be locked up like slaves especially in the park named after Abe. Lincoln,
with a stature of the great Emancipation and Mary McLeod Bethune at one end of
the park.
And on the other end of the park is a Barb Wire Chain Link Fence that looks
like a Holding Pen for Slaves.
We know, the only soon to be slaves are mostly people of color from all
around the world Seeking the American Dream or a small independent business to
provide food and shelter for there families as DC Hack/Taxicab/Owners and
Drivers in Washington DC.
All Africans born in America, should be mad as hell with the US and DC
Government for showing this kind of insensitivity and No Respect for the
African American Community in Freedoms Park.
Everybody needs to Stand up or lay down with DC Hack/Taxicab/Drivers to
protect our Freedom and right to be Independent in the first and last Freedom
Enterprise System in America. >>Peace and Love.
