They use email, but they have the highest spam blocker and they won't purchase anything online and they won't subscribe to communities like Yahoo or Google or MySpace or YouTube because they don't trust the privacy issues and they don't want to get spam. It's a "big brother" fear. Once they get it into their mind that it's not safe to subscribe to lists, they don't care what you have to say about it....people get set in their ways. I'll tell them, "you don't have to give your birthdate or your home address" but that doesn't convince them. I think that the biggest fear is spam and that once your email address gets into the spammer regions, then it's impossible to stop it. Newsgroups are a place that spammers hack into, so it's not an unreasonable concern. I belong to the e-list for Yahoo moderators and spam is really a huge issue. Nalini
