For some people, being required to set up a Yahoo ID is a barrier, pure and simple. I can understand requiring people to Join in order to post messages (however, I don't even do that) but to block reading access to the Public is exclusionary, that's all. Consider the idea of putting the reading setting on Public for a while and trying it out. If it doesn't cause any problems, then it's just one more way of opening up the exchange of information and ideas. Can anyone join NP? No one is barred or banned? Nalini
