And this is a good example of why Fred is moderated, as part of the ongoing effort to maintain the quality of posts here. Left alone, Fred is prone to making libelous attacks against certain people, and short of that, to making pronouncements out of whole cloth like the one that I inherited the NewPacifica list from someone else. That has no basis in fact and only exists in Fred's head. As a matter of fact I was the first to set up a list on eGroups, which was later acquired by Yahoo. I volunteered at a time when no one else knew how to do it, or even thought of doing it. It set a trend, and other Pacifica lists on eGroups soon followed.
