Interim group BLUEBOARDBRIDGE@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Welcome to the Blueboardbridge group at http://www.Groups.Yahoo.com Until the Blue Board (listenerforums.net) is working again, and as a Public Service to Pacifica and especially WBAI information junkies, out of the goodness and public-spiritedness of my noble heart I have created a special Yahoo group to take up the slack in the mean time. It is called blueboardbridge@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx I will remove spam, stop flaming, etc. to the best of my ability. The Group is set to the maximum openness in every way I could find-- everyone can read the archives, no permission to join or post messages, and you may hide your EMail address *even from the group owner.* However the group does display your *Yahoo ID.* So be careful what you make this when you join Yahoo. The only drawback is you have to be a member of Yahoo before you can join the group, but I hope many listeners and subscribers are already members. * You may hide your EMail address from the group and the group owner. To do this go to Groups.Yahoo.com. You'll see a box labeled Find a Yahoo Group. Type blueboardbridge in this box and hit Enter or click Search. Then click on Blueboardbridge on the screen that comes up. This will give you the list of messages. On the right of the screen toward the top you'll see a box labeled Join This Group. Click on this box and you'll see a screen where it says "Step 1. Your Contact Information." At the bottom of the Step 1 area there is a little square checkbox that says "Hide my EMail address . . ." Click this box and a little check mark will appear in the box. Then go to the bottom of the page and you will see some garbled letters and numbers in a large white box. Type these into the small text box to the right of the large white box and hit Enter or click Join at the bottom right of the page. That is all you have to do. Your EMail address will be hidden even from the list owner. Oh, I forgot to say you have to join Yahoo and then sign in before you can do all this!!-- But I can't tell you how to do that right now. Hopefully the BlueBoard will be working again before too many people figure all of this out and give me a headache erasing all the spam and junk that comes through.
